Fields of Experience

Mr. Sexton has extensive knowledge of post-combustion carbon dioxide capture processes.  He worked under the supervision of Dr. Gary Rochelle for four and a half years researching the effects of oxidation on CO2 capture solvents, and was hired by CSIRO to develop similar capabilities.  Some of Mr. Sexton’s areas of expertise:

 

·         Expert in high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion chromatography (IC), and mass spectrometry (MS) systems

·        Methods development involving liquid-phase detection systems: conductivity, ultraviolet, photodiode array, and evaporative light scattering detection

·         Methods development for FTIR systems for gas-phase analysis

·         Construction of lab-scale degradation equipment

·         Environmental impacts of CO2 capture systems
