Fields
of Experience
Mr.
Hatcher has an extensive background in the design, operations, and
troubleshooting of sulfur processing systems – amine, sour water,
caustic treating, sulfur recovery, and tail gas treating units.
His experience also includes concept through start-up revamp
projects in refinery crude and vacuum systems as well as decant oil (FCC
slurry oil) handling.
Mr.
Hatcher carries unique know-how in the areas of Claus oxygen enrichment,
sulfur degassing, and process simulation.
His core competencies include:
·
Technology screening,
process development, and design packages (PDP)
·
Process plant
troubleshooting with a strong customer focus
·
Application of mathematical
modeling to solve difficult technical problems.
While at ConocoPhillips, Mr. Hatcher developed in-house
thermodynamic software to simulate the sulfur recovery process as well as
an electrolyte VLE model for amine, caustic and sour water systems.
These models led to advances in the SPOC™ research program and
understanding of amine/sour water corrosion.
·
Hands-on plant skills;
strong working knowledge of process equipment and instrumentation
Mr. Hatcher particularly enjoys working with plant operations personnel
through training, optimization, troubleshooting, and plant start-up
activities.
