- Modeling of large flare systems in refineries for flare selection and flare header design (e.g., w FLARENET)
- On site refinery reliability work in steam methane reformers (SMR)
- Controls and Instrumentation work for steam methane reformers (SMR)
- Emergency block valve (EBV) requirement identification in refineries based on API RP 553
- Sizing and selection of PRVs and PSVs based on API standards
- Creation of process simulations (e.g., using aspenONE [Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS], SYMMETRY)
- Selection of compressors for ammonia, natural gas, and CO2 (e.g., screw, reciprocating, in-line centrifugal, integrally geared centrifugal, axial)
- Selection of pumps for NGLs, CO2, and water (e.g., positive displacement, centrifugal, axial)
- ASME Section VIII Div. 1 pressure vessel design (e.g., pressurized NGL storage, knockout vessels)
- Heat exchanger design and selection for CO2, water, and other various chemicals
- HAZOP Experience in multiple processes
- Selection of gas and steam turbines
- Chiller selection and chilled water system design and controls for chemical processes
- Design of HVAC systems, including fan / pump selection, and piping and ventilation design
